I had a wireless remote weather station for Christmas Lesley - I'd asked Father Christmas for a rain gauge but he brought the all singing all dancing version. We just haven't set it up yet - not quite sure where to put it as it needs to be fixed to a fence post or similar - I'm trying to find somewhere that isn't in a rainshadow from the trees or next door's garage or similar ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
So, thats 2kg of cow in the oven, 2.5kg of spuds peeled, 1kg of sweet spuds peeled, 500g of carrots peeled...all ready to cook, just got onions, cabbage and mushrooms to do, then when i get a spare roasting dish, his kilo of chicken for work will go in t' oven too....i hate cooking!
Dove get your weather station set up asap, you end up with pneumonia or worse, another trip to A&E!
I don't exactly hate it Bekkie, I just don't like to have to cook. When I'm in the mood I quite like baking cakes, pies etc. I was always responsible for putting the meals on the table whilst the children were growing up. For some reason Hubby has now taken up the challenge and he cooks all the meals and I just eat them
Parade done Girls were all good, two did the closing prayers and the best thing was that one of our leaders was honoured for a Jack Petchy Leadership Award, which recognises the work that she has done for the Youth and the Guides It was a surprise for her and richly deserved
Becky, think I might come round yours for lunch Although we are having Chicken teriyaki (slow cooked) for tea
It is a lot BL! He will have half now and half for his evening meal, possibly shredded into the bubble and squeak, im sure your roast veg will be far nicer than mine, im kind of just throwing it in and hoping for the best!
You are very lucky to get your meals made for you Yvie!
Glad the parade went well Panda, you are more than welcome to some lunch, you just might have to fight himself for it!
RB ive got a clematis called jingle bells (i think) which is in full flower now, looking very pretty
Yvie , good on you . how on earth did you manage that , wow no more cooking meals!
Just wanted to add to the earlier posts about German shepherds. They are a one man dog and very protective faithful too .they are one of my many favourite breeds . I've always said ours was a big cuddly teddy bear.
when we sadly lost our tess we just wanted to replace her.we contacted the GS rescue , but decided to wait as putting a younger dog with our other older dogs seemed a bit unfair to them as they are all similar age and not as energetic .
So decided to wait a bit, we could even adopt two which don't want too be separated
.I had thought at one time of taking on the ones who need your help the most, the ones who are poorly through no fault of there own.
But I know it will bring a lot of heartache and some we wouldn't have very long due to failing health .but at least we could give them comfort in there late time of life.

KEF, I have weeding if you fancy it?
Hello all. OH remembered pinch punching this morning.
2kg of cow sounds a heck of a lot! We are having roast pork tonight with enough veg and roast veg to make into soup afterwards for tomorrow.
We had hail this morning. Snow is forecast next weekend. Must make sure supplies are in, esp. dog food, as if it snows we can't get up the drive.
