Morning all. Dreary day here and I haven't done my birdwatch yet so I hope they turn up and haven't gone off to get their food in the woods and hedgerows instead. Fickle creatures image

I missed seeing that it was DD's birthday...hope you had a lovely day. Was there any cake left?  image

Hang on in there BM. The adrenalin keeps you going so you will get there!

Clari - how about cacti.....image  My daughter brought home a Mexican hat plant (don't know it's posh name) from school once. Kids love them as you can grow on all the little babies that drop off and they are virtually indestructible. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Morning all image

I am still in bed image It's the safest place I know, esp since someone mentioned that things come in threes . . . . image

Lily, I have a heated airer/drier from Lakeland - best purchase ever! Cheap to run and dries a full load of washing reasonably quickly and keeps it all in one place. image You also don't have to worry about shrinkage!

BM, hope the packing goes well. . . . I hated doing the small amount of stuff I had before we moved.

Hope the toad's ok Dove image

Sunny and blue sky here, but was white with frost and -5° this morning.

Lost an earring image, wish it had been down the side of the sofa, only found a few tissues, probably OH's, he never shoves them far enough into his pockets!

It looks beautiful there Rbimage.  Look forward to the rest of your pics 'cos I could use the exerciseimage.  DD - well done with your morning run.  I ended up opening a box of chocs last night and have only managed a walk with the dogimage

Glad to hear you're staying safe today Panda.  The heated airer sound like a great idea.  I know my niece struggles to dry things in her flat so I'll let her know about it.

Hope your birds have turned up Fairyimage.

    Hi Folks,

Rubbish with houseplants Clari, except orchids which are really sturdy and pretty but dont know re pollen.

Come on BM you can do it, you're just going to have to break through 'the wall' and then you'll be on the home straight.

Sorry about mentioning that things come in 3's Panda,  hope I haven't driven you to your bed for too long.

Have been in the garden again since 9.30 this morning.  Just finished and flopped on the sofa to recover.  So much rubbish collected that Hubby will have to go to the tip on Tuesday to get rid of it.  Garden looking much better now.  Have planted my ornamental cherry and identified a couple of plants that I want to move to balance the evergreens a bit better.  Lots and lots of shoots peeping out and snowdrops in flower, so excited at the prospect of spring and warmer days.

That looks like my Crown Prince squash with a can of red paint!

Folks, do you remember that squash plant that appeared in my veg patch and produced one squash amongst the runner beans - we ate half of it last night, roasted with a curry - very good indeed - and a real freebie! image

  • Thanks Panda will have a look. Have never wanted a tumble dryer as I don't think they do the clothes/material any good yet alone the shrinkage image

    Hiya

Counted birds - just for once the goldfinches arrived en masse- usually they arrive just after I've finished.

That is gardening that can be done from a chair lookiing out of a window.

Also can see a hellebore open but photo will have to wait, OH is very strict about what I can or not do!!

Ordered a load of flower seeds for the PWF(practice wedding flowers) and BIL has offered to help, but he's sensitive so I'll have to make sure I don't upset him for a whole year or so image I have Sarah Ravens catalogue, really useful as it states germination to flowering times

Daughter has found her ideal wedding venue so it's all go for July 2016 - you'll probably be fed up of hearing about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So relieved that I will be able to fully take part/enjoy the preparations now (once I have recuperated) there was a time that .................... well won't go there

    Back soon
