Got back late last night after helping with removals at my daughter's. All went well, though the lorry didn't get away until 7pm, rushing to catch the overnight Irish ferry. Much baby-cuddling and toddler-entertaining was necessary, but they did pretty well & we only had one complete meltdown (when the sofa got wrapped in a big plastic bag and taken outside!). A snowy January day isn't the time you'd choose to move - we couldn't just take the children outside to play and picnic in the garden - but it's done, and we're looking forward to the next step. Now I'm off to the PO to get Euros for our visit to Galway next week, to help the family unpack and settle in.
Just refilled the bird feeders. The blue tits could barely wait for me to hang the feeders up again before descending on them!
Might find time to read back a bit, later... Sounds as if Panda's having a good time. Anyone else on holiday?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Lovely blue skies here. Haven't ventured out as my cold is lousy at the moment so staying in my jim jams, watching gardening progs. Just watched revival shows on knot gardens and the one on irises. Would love to dig up the front garden, think a knot garden would look great in front of my victorian house.
Have the mag to browse through later, plenty of tissues and strepsils so should be OK for the rest of the day.
Hi all, quick peek whilst half time at the athletics competition, Charlie in a regional event, high jump, long jump, shot put, sprint etc. Am being very supportive, clapping & cheering our team at appropriate moments - I hope - not easy to follow.
That's after horse riding this morning & him having a friend for tea last night, my sole purpose in life seems to be social secretary to little man. Judo competition at 9:00 in the morning - roll on Monday when he is back at school!
Cold but no snow - yet.
Going to buy some seed compost on way home & start warming it up ready for my seeds.

That all sounds so familiar DD. Used to watch daughter horse riding, other daughter ballet, piano, son rugby and tennis, other son table tennis and piano.
Have been sorting photos, and sticking them in albums, seem to have lost a packet from June 2012 when we went to Devon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It has been a very cold, sunny, snowy, sleety and rain day here, well fed up
Highlight of the day has been watching Blackbirds running up and down the path, too busy chasing each other to actually eat what I've put down for them, reminded me of the end of a Benny Hill show from my teens. It was nice to see sparrows and robins come and feed whilst those silly devils ran each other off.
Gone a bit on the computer today so I'll say bye and have a good evening all, just in case I nod off later
p.s Lily has done a great job cleaning here after her lunch, windows done inside and out and David K has defrosted my garden and freezer, well done guys

Hope so
Snowy greetings, all!

Hope everyone has a good day.
Will when the weather picks up, KEF
My logic is that I can bag the contents up, put them in my outhouse (below freezing) while I'm defrosting and they will be less likely to thaw.
Just had a wander round the garden and had to break the ice on the bird bath and also ontop of a couple of pots
Still no snowdrops coming through but did notice some tulips
I'll just have my lunch Kef and I'll be over to help out
