  • I have finally moved the Christmas decorations back into the shed. The mice very neatly skinned half of my lovely red apple decorations so will have to set some traps.

Whizzed around straightening, tidying etc., etc., as a plumber was booked to come and give me an estimate to revamp my downstairs bathroom, turn it into a wet room, ready for when I can no longer negotiate my steep, narrow cottage stairs, nor get in and out of a bath. Have had a knee and an ankle replacement which will not last for ever. At last I will be able to get rid of the diaboical ginger tiles. Yuck!

I have warned the kids that I am going to spend their inhertitance on upgrading the bathroom and kitchen.

Still very soggy and cold so no gardening done.

Hi eve ryone, Took my cold to Worcester to look after grandchildren (now I know where I got it from).  Back home now.  Have an obelisk and two planters to put together over the weekend, or should I say hubby has.

I think I've decided to put Foxgloves 'pink sensation', Verbena 'plum magic' and a White cosmos that has a pink centre (can't remember the name) in the planters. Saw this at RHS Hampton court and want to achieve something similar.
