Bit too early for the sprouts for me yet Lyn.  Glad Father Christmas has found you and unlike your SM still deliversimage.  Hope you have a good dayimage

KEF I find that dropping a couple of baking trays normally does the trick on the third occasion.  Don't strain your throat with too much coughingimage

  • Happy Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a lovely day and Santa has brought you  lovely pressies.

  • Happy Christmas to all. image

Kef wish my son slept like your OH, we were woken at 5:50 this morning by a wriggling over excitable little boy asking 'has he been'! Managed to stay under duvet until 6:07 but that was it - definitely an afternoon nap on the menu this afternoon. image

Santa did good anyway, even managed to sneak in a ball for Shadow, who has now gone back to bed after a long wet walk.

    Next - Turkey stuffing.

    Enjoy everyone.image

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you're ok chicky  image

No turkey here - only three of us - so a nice chicken (sorry chicky image )  and the usual trimmings. No sprouts either as no one likes them, but I found some chocolate ones for the girls' image

Hope everyone has what they wished for today. image

    Happy Christmas Everyone

No frantic stuffing turkeys and prolonged sprout boiling here

Only going to be 3 of us this year, too much happening elsewhere, so we a re roasting a bit of sirloin.

Sprouts as I write are still growing so they will be fresh and cook in minutesimage

Hi All & a Merry Christmas to everyone!

Feeling much better than I was last night! OH has been 'On Call' for work from 6am to 11am this morning. If he'd been called out he would have been away from first thing this morning till Saturday night. So we've been unable to plan anything for Christmas & there was a strong possibility that I would be on my own over the festive period & he would be away at work image (has also made food planning a little difficult!). Was feeling quite down about it yesterday - especially as we have to go through this every other year.

But he's here ! image - we had Christmas dinner last night and I've just made an extra special fish pie for this evening. Fire is lit & about to pour 1st G&T of the day - then we can see what Santa has brought!

Hope everybody has a lovely day!!

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
