Very misty here and a very heavy dew but no frost yet.
Clari – will be very exciting opening decs after such a long time, hope they have all survived. Ours were all fine, amazingly because remember running out of bubble wrap at crucial moment and having to make do.
Like you both Mrs G & Lesley I am very particular about the tree dressing, unfortunately Charlie decided this year to ‘help’ – had to keep reminding myself Christmas is all about children. Did manage to adjust, but next year have decided two trees, one for him in TV room and one for us in sitting room.
Have been in school this morning to discuss Charlie’s progress, was very nervous about the visit because didn’t want teacher to think I am a pushy interfering parent, but obviously with the language and cultural differences not as easy to gauge as in England. Anyway, all is well, he is making good progress and chatting away in French quite happily – too much on occasions, I gave my permission for her to give him a quick flick around the ear whenever necessary, poor woman looked horrified at the thought.
Anyway, off out to get some Xmas gifts to be hand delivered to UK via OH, he flies out tonight, hope you all have a good day. Lily Pily hope you are reunited with the dogs, Verdun hope your parcel arrives and hope you haggled over the price for it.
Kef, always fancied one of those parties, and a flamboyant chap sounds marvellous.

morning everyone, snow overnight and very very cold. Wind forecast, winter eh
KEF we did this Murder game many years ago at New Year. My bil was the doctors and wore a bow tie, a monocle and carried a carpet bag which he kept bringing things out of! It was a fun night, some cough bottle and you will be fine!
Stay warm everyone

Already done some online Xmas shopping this morning using discount codes (proud of me Verdun )
Not having a tree this year due to uncertainty of move etc but last night glittered up some twigs and will hang some chosen decs on today I bet all yours look lovely and would love to see pics
Glad your little boy is doing good at school DD and I bet if he is anything like his mum he will do brilliant if he has half your determination
KEF you will be brill doc and don't worry if it says he just say you mis read! Not like they are gonna tell you off when you turn up to the party
Hi folks. Just been out to fill the bird feeders and it Aint Arf Cold.
Hmmm. Think fussiness re Christmas tree dressing must be a female Forkers phenomenon (try saying that after one Xmas drink too many... ) - but though I'm laughed at for insisting everything on the tree looks "balanced", it hasn't been colour themed since my children were small, cos they loved making decorations out of salt dough and painting them. Some still come out every year (not that I'm an old softie or anything...) However, they do get very carefully arranged. And the task is not made easier by our two cats, who think anything hanging from a thread is fair game for bashing about.
Lesley, I call the patch of green in my garden a Lawn, because the proportion of grass in it is rather small... mostly moss at this time of the year, but very pretty in spring with celandine, violets etc. But "lawn" does sound a bit over-posh. Anyone got a better suggestion?
Looks a bit like snow out. Brrrrr!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

That sounds like a fun evening KEF. Sure you'll get the slightly bonkers bit right
DD you must be really pleased that Charlie has settled so well
It's horrible out here too LilyP. Black ice everywhere. Did you get the dogs back OK?
I've got a good image for you KEF!
Ticks all the boxes!

I think that's taking eccentricity a mite too far

Right! All wrapped up and popping down town now
Ttfn xxx
Lesley be careful on that black ice and Susan hope you get all you want done
Have good days everyone
Morning all.
I'm another one who is fussy about the Christmas tree, Mrs Garden described me!
DD, no wonder the teacher looked shocked, she would get the sack if she gave your son a flick around the ear!
The farrier came this morning to trim horses' feet. Had the shoes taken off my mare as I hardly ride in winter.
I can understand you wanting a girly part KEF. I had to be John of Gaunt in the school play, just couldn't get up any enthusiasm for it.
Love it Dove
Edd you are so naughty
