It's been snowing here as well Fairy but not cold enough to lie. Fortunately it didn't start till I was back with the dog but there is a bitter wind out there so going to stay in the warm for the rest of the day. Shivery smile.
Looks as though you had a wonderful time Archie. What a view.
Did you get your hat finished in time for the stall DD? Those lovely cakes will have gone down well. Talk about multi-talented..
Just been to have a pootle round my GH for the first time for ages - all is looking well Pulled all the yellow leaves off the agapanthus and discarded a couple of lavender cuttings that had succumbed to the dreaded grey furry stuff, but plenty left still looking healthy.
also discovered that deer eat Hebes. Not sure it'll recover from its rather drastic haircut, but have moved it to a safe place to wait and see.
Deer are lovely at a distance chicky but that's too close Hope your hebe comes back bushier.
Panda I remember the human fruit machine from when OH used to help with BB's about 20 years ago. Instead of having boxes of fruit in front I made aprons with a pocket with fruit in. Great fun
KEF you can patent the clingfilm idea. I haven't got a greenhouse to test it on I am tempted to put it on the back window in spring when the b***** starlings leave their calling cards
It's a lovely feeling when all those cards are written, stamped and in the box lily
Not getting very far with Xmas cards, had to get addresses out from our 'Bon Voyage' file, got completely distracted reading all the 'good luck' and 'we will miss you' messages, brought a tear to my eye, especially after such a stormy week with sister who has concluded I am the most selfish person in the world -
On a positive note the Telethon stall raised over €1100, which is great considering what a small village we are. Xmas tree stall went really well too. Did finish my hat Lesley, but think it will need a minor adjustment before it's next outing, my ears were chilly! Nice to be thought talented however, as much as I love baking and knitting the results are often not quite what I aspired to and I do take forever to do things which I am sure naturally talented people do in minutes.
Some pics so you can share the festive spirit....
And Gemma, don't think I didn't notice you eating all the previous batch - got my eye on you.
Ok head down - write the cards!!!

Looks like you had a great time DD and raised a good amount. Sisters eh? Rise above it if you can. You have friends here as you know - you can always have a moan to all of us.
chicky - Perhaps a little prune won't do too much harm though. Have some venison casserole to get your revenge I was going to say oh 'deer' but that would be in bad taste wouldn't it?
I've done some housework and going out for a coffee later with a friend. Feel a bit idle today.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
My Under Gardener is lovely He's been outside in the cold bubble wrapping the big pots and moving smaller pots of plants into the sheltered corner of the terrace and protecting them from the worst of the weather by stacking the garden furniture to shelter them.
He said that was the best division of labour as I stayed indoors doing pre-festivity cooking and making his lunch
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Cards done, pheww. And I've cut down this year! Do have reserves....just in case
Great pics DD, bicuits look yummy Ignore sister, as Fairy said you have all of us. And if shes anything like mine, nothing will change her. I just let mine get on with it now and let her think she hasn't got to me lol. That probably annoys her too Sending hugs.
What a lovely OH Dove, he has earnt his lunch and a few brownie points
