only managed one post before nodding off last night, sorry!
its Beaus Mums birthday today, i couldnt find the birthday thread, so will put it on here (sorry Verdun!) but HAPPY BIRTHDAY Beaus Mum! cant do a party hat smiley, get the devil one instead!, you will just have to pretend!
Hello all! Seems a bit late to say "Good morning" but I had a lie-in, brekkie at 9! Delights of being retired... Weather didn't really encourage early rising. The sun has had enough, and left us with mist and cold. Still got the lights on, so it seems a good day for getting serious about finding Christmas presents on line, once I've been to visit Mum & see what's on offer in the market. (Wish I could persuade my family that garden centre tokens are really Really REALLY NOT a boring present for them to give me...)
Must find that birthday thread.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Busy - its OH that wants a dog, though I too am looking forward to it. The only pets we have is Manfredi the spider who lives on the kitchen door and some gold fish in the pond. The house just leaves very much like a house - not a home, and they never do until you have a pet in them. We've both said for a long time about getting a dog but neither jobs were compatible. Now, the dog will be able to come to work with me (perks of the business) and our days off are staggered so there will be at least three days (hopefully four if I can work from home more) where it'll be at home.
Sat at work at the moment. This no heating has its disadvantages. For starts I am starting to consume an unholy amount of hot chocolate!!
We will have another one but not until I can see the end of the road, hopefully around Easter. look forward to hearing about it's arrival etc. House is certainly empty without the wagging tail, mind you it could clear the coffee table with a wag
Matty you keep thinking about that coffee table clearing wag
Not had time to be here much today, preparing for the big chill
Panda I thought the Vale of York was blinking bitterly cold over the last few days.
Today has reached 6C and now dropping rapidly 0C tonight and -2C tomorrow night.
Brugmansia has it's fleece coat on in the GH and all terracotta pots now all stashed away. I'm so not looking forward to the cold weather even if it does kill the whitefly on my kale & chard. They are even threatening us with snow
Done the SM run, well stocked up with lager and wine just in case the roads are bad. Also got needed provisions mini cheddars, nuts and crackers and some Maltesers
Catch up with you all in the morning, hope all have a nice evening
Hi all, been busy baking today, including homemade mincemeat, making the pies in the morning, give the mincemeat half a chance to mature. As well as Xmas Tree stall tomorrow afternoon have just been invited to a carol concert in the morning, couldn't resist, apparently there are mince pies on offer, can never have too many mince pies.
Garden has been very much neglected this week - looks as if it is managing without me so far. Amazing actually how much it has changed, completely different feel to it, still finding plants I didn't know we had.
Hoping to finish my santa hat tonight ready for my tree stall, looking good so far.
Anyway, good evening all, keep warm, help yourself to a cupcake too.
