Could not get to sleep for coughing last night. Even resorted to cough mixture, maybe just to prove the point that it doesn't work! Finally got up in desperation and raided the cupboards. In the end hot beechams seemed to do the trick.
Have a good day everyone, I have a bitty day, errands and paperwork.
Keep warm Mrs G! I know there are lots of coughs and colds going around the schools at the moment (I seem to be catching most of them!) Never found a cough syrup work myself but my body does seem to refuse most drugs. Best to keep warm, drink plenty, and let your body get on with it.
Morning all. Chilly here but not as cold as I expected - more of an air frost as the ground doesn't look sparkly. Work for me so no cuddling of hot water bottles - although frankly that would help where I work...
Congrats to Edd and Mrs Edd
Why don't you make a timber raised bed for your blueberries Edd? I made mine very cheaply. It'll give you something to do while MrsEdd is otherwise engaged and stop you getting under her feet...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I forgot to mention yesterday you'd have caught me last night working in the greenhouse by candle light: does anyone else have little tricks to extend their time in the garden?
Fairy - my hot water bottle goes to work! Big victorian building with less than suitable heating arrangements so it gets a little nippy around the kidneys. My school tours can be found doing star jumps by the fire engines on a chilly day!
I have one of those plug in heat pads Clari. I am mainly sitting where I work and nowhere near the inadequate heating arrangements. It only gets warmer when I'm about ready to go home. It's my hands that suffer most. I could try doing the star jumps before I sit down or when I make a cup of tea

Good morning all
You were about late last night Edd - getting into practice?
A difference of one degree between maximum daytime temp and minimum night temp yesterday ... it was 7C at the most yesterday and 6C overnight.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all. Hot water bottle did its job: although doesn't help me want to climb out of bed.
Very wet here; best got and get the snorkel to swim to work.
