Congrats to Fairygirl, so nice to hear positive comments, even with unfortunate phrasing.
I do sometimes wonder if the wrong child gets sent home to me - he has always been a star at school, "so polite, so attentive, so respectful", all I get is grunts and heavy sighs - and he is only 7, thought that didn't come until teenagedom.
LillyP, I am afraid to stop, fear I may never get going again!
Coffe break over, roses await.

I also did a lot of leaf raking yesterday and I know about it today, feel like my ribs have been in a vice overnight, seems I'm not as fit as I thought no doubt a trip to SM will take my mind off the aches.
Well done little fairy. I seem to remember one teacher telling my parents at the last parent's night that I shouldn't rest on my Laurels..maybe he knew I would take to gardening
Hello folks - we're back home (via calling in at Nut's for coffee yesterday morning). Broad beans and peas growing well - pigeons have kept away from the broccoli and cabbage - and my new clematis http://www.taylorsclematis.co.uk/clematis-venosa-violacea.html has just burst into flower!!!
I've had a quick read back to check on you all - ((hugs)) to everyone, but specially to Matty ((Matty hugs))
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
That clematis looks great - I just haven't any more room for them apart from a white one (or two). Can't squeeze them in where there isn't climbing space.
We had a teacher whi made a very inappropiate comment to my daughter. about her attitude (unpleasant words) she was very upset. I reported it to a senior teacher (unofficially) who we knew and tackled the teacher face to face at a paremts evening. He seemed surprised we were upset!! - Teacher lft school after another term - seems he had been 'inappropiate' to others s well
Had MRI scan - now can we leave it at that for now _ I know you are all with me but unless I say when I come on here it is gardening and general chat I need (normality)
Lovely autumn afternoon - trying to get ahead of myself now - have mulched hardy fuchsias, dug up a couple of large dahlias, leaving some others well mulched in.
Re-discovered my hellebores, pleased as couldn't see any black spot and have put my first ever leaf mulch on them (2 years in the 'brewing') still not brilliant but will do.
Day shopping with daughter tomorrow followed by a festive afternoon tea at a well known GC
My hellebores are in big planters until I make a suitable bed, didn't know they got blackspot Wouldn't be able to tell as I've cut them back I do know you mean during summer growth, or I think I know
Nothing done in our garden today but hopeful for some action tomorrow.
Dove glad you enjoyed time away hope Hefty isn't sulking
Panda I've wrapped your radish up for Christmas it might be a bit soft by December anyone else want one I have 3 left?
Missed what Lil fairy has been up to but I'll. Join the chorus of well comes anyway
Chicky, we did a lot in Berlin over a weekend but perhaps better to stick to a few places you choose before hand, then you can appreciate more unlike us being completely ######## ered !
son at swim lesson so a bit of hill time for me. And him...instead of doing his practice he's literally floating off in a world of his own!
