Hi LesleyK. I agree with you. Lovely to welcome new babies into the world. The birth itself I think is a very personal experience.

BL thanks - it's not usually that cold here, but it can be colder - I think I'd better see if I can provide a bit of protection.

Never thought much of R. Williams - think he's a bit of an twit really so that sort of behaviour is par for the course as far as I'm concerned.  Have never seen any originality in his work - the one with the talent is Gary Barlow.image   Sorry - perhaps it's as well as I'm out for the rest of the morning ......... I'll get my coat image

Hi Folks, Lovely day here blue sky and 17c.  Ive been out shopping for mum and visited her in the home.  Ive done a little gardening, planted some more Alliums but felt too tired to do any more.  I'm sure I've got a cold in the offing.  A little present from grandaughter I dare say.

DD Claire Austin is David Austin's daughter.  I have used her on line service a few times.  Most of the time very good.  I did have one problem when an Astrantia arrived looking a bit sorry for itself.  When I called to complain they said it was just a bit of scorch and to plant it and that it would be OK.  When it still didnt look very good a couple of weeks later I called again and a member of staff said she had posted a replacement but not to acknowledge it as Claire didnt like sending out single plants due to the cost and she might get into trouble.  The replacement was fine when it arrived, and I have to say that after a lot of TLC the initial astrantia did start to thrive.  I did think a bit weird at the time.

Off now for 48 hours playing in the big city as it's my birthday tomorrow.

Shared it with mum so even after 5 years feel strange to celebrate alone. (Only mentioning this as if my father had done a dance there would have been divorce!)  OH very kind and lots planned including Elke Brooks tonightimage

Stay safe and hope everyone has a decent day
