sounds as though you will be busy OL did notice your post before that is what made me wonder what everyone will be doing - as volunteering tomorrow I may well be sleeping, that is depending on if I don't wake up early cause it takes me a few days to get used to the clock time change
Errrrr.......none I'm going to try and get some tomorrow....the last 6 weeks or so have been a blur LOL!!!
I have got those onion flower ball things though (I've got my technical head in again and can't remember what they are called.......and can't be bothered to get up to look!)
I'll definitely be starting an hour early on the couch grass hunt, since tomorrow is my last day here. Still plenty to do but it looks loads better!
Incidentally, you CAN eat couch grass. Just looked it up online. Roots, young leaves & seeds all edible; roots made into tea to treat urinary tract infections, or dried and ground and added to flour when making bread. Don't think I'll bother to try it, though there might be a sort of satisfaction gained from eating the enemy...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Did some lopping of the Jap Quince today using my lovely borrowed ratchet loppers filled the brown bin, still loads to do though. Had a lovely warm afternoon to do it in
Lily, came a close second tonight - if only we'd played our joker on a different round we'd have won Didn't need my banana stringy bits knowledge though
Hi any early risers, could not sleep, so I am up writing a to do list of jobs in the garden today. Unfortunately it looks more like a list for a small army to tackle over several weeks.
Found out yesterday that we have got some Rugby World Cup tickets which is great.
A bit dark for gardening at the moment, so I might go and read my RHS mag. which arrived yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
