Good morning all - especially to Torvill & Dean above image

Dry but overcast and 5.4C outside at the moment - I need to start deciding about tomato seeds - a friend will be starting off Sungolds, Alicante and San Marzano - I shall start off some Soldacki and Anna Russian and we'll do a swap.  I think I have some freebies in the seed tin but not sure what they are so I may start some of them off too - hopefully some little bush-types - daughter wants some plants for the people she works with - they have severe learning difficulties so pinching out sideshoots is a difficult concept for them - bush tomatoes would  be ideal.  image

  • Morning,

Busy day in the garden yesterday, bit chilly but got stuff done, including reinforcing the fence where Shadow had found an escape route. Unfortunately after OH had completely retacked all loose wire to fence posts and checked out all holes he realised there was no way of getting back over onto our side (neighbours gate securely padlocked, they don't live there), had to get the ladders out to let him back in - oops! image

Charlie found a new friend yesterday (farmer's grandson over for the week-end) so that was the last we saw of Charlie for the afternoon. Had to go and hunt him down near dusk, two bikes sprawled outside farmers barn were the giveaway, found a very mucky but happy pair of boys inside.image

Nearly all seeds are up now, so time to plant some more today and maybe some potting on, cosmos and zinnia are getting really big already.  image

Hope you all have a good day. image

If the weather proves uninspiring we might be watching Poldark this afternoon Dove. I'm sure I remember there being a bit more sun around a few weeks back: dishwater grey and decidedly "ho hum" out there at the moment.

    Anyone need anything from Tesco?

A pair of binoculars might be handy this afternoon Clari image

We're getting a bit low on Marmite - if you could grab a large jar that would be great thanks image

  • When I say shower I meant of rain, that's not to say I'm dirty and did not shower myself yesterday I did:  rambling now I will just shut up image
