    I am an hour glass, but tummy has been turning apple shaped with advancing years! That's why jeans have to be at waist to stop them sliding off. Is "hipster" an old  fashioned word then? May have something to do with living in France, lose touch with changing language.

    I always laugh at naughty remarks, just not usually quick enough or witty enough to make any!image Am not totally innocent, was a nurse and have had 4 children!

    Have potted up all the plants I bought mail order in September.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Lizzie, know you aren't an innocent image Think we now say low rise. I have a waist but short in the body so it's in the wrong place for a lot of clothes, fitted dresses LOL need clothes pegs to hold the shoulders up so the waist is in the right place and not on my hips.  image Not a good look pegs on clothes image

    Oooooo Archie, you sound just like my OH !!;
  • Evening all, been a busy few days in garden, did manage to read back on some posts - all very amusing image.

    Veg patch dug over and manure dug in, lot of tiding up, considering green manure but not quite sure how to go about it or how I will know difference between it and weeds. image

    Prepared my other small bed for 'new' scheme next year, although failing miserable to find the exact plants I want, did put some in a online basket, went away to cook dinner and then found they had all disappeared. image

    Swimming pool is all tidy and put away for the winter along with the sunloungers - funny was actually really warm whilst we were preparing for winter, didn't seem right.

    OH has been laughing at me today; I washed greenhouse inside & out and hosed down and sterilised the bubble wrap used for insulation and hung it on the line to dry - for some reason he though this was amusing - I am just doing my best to look after my little babies. image

    Off to watch SCD now, enjoy your evening, whatever you are all doing. image

    Sorry MrsG - I'm going to sound like OH and archie as well! If a job's worth doing...image

    Always had a drier KEF, but had a bad experience with the most recent one - condenser type - and got rid of it. Hopeless in the wet weather though with all the bedding etc, and this house is so small  - no spare rooms to dry stuff. It has now been plugged in and tested image

    No outdoor buildings here BM - so will have to clutter the kitchen with it till building work's done - probably in spring now image

    Tried to go out and do some bits and pieces but rain came on every time I went out and it was none too warm, so not much done. I enjoyed watching the dunnocks navigate the hanging bird table feeder. One of them was useless - kept standing on the roof and looking sadly at the sides trying to work out how to get in - and the other one just jumped onto the roof off the top of the fence and straight in for his tea! image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hello all, will catch up shortly with you all

    Not long been in, spent most of the day out in the garden laying turf - well I have learnt how to do that today 10 rolls of turf all put out in bottom of garden  (thought I was going to have dad doing it)
