Enjoying fidgetbones tales from the deep. One thing I always hoped to avoid when diving was sea snakes. I remember a TV series where a mad Aussie couple were studying them, deliberately annoying then more like! And they were lethal snakes. Many years later I was diving in Okinawa and my dive instructor not only went looking for sea snakes but caught one and handed it to me! He also showed me some cylindrical objects on the sea bed which he whacked with his big dive knife. They were unexploded WW11 shells from the US attack on Okinawa. My air supply ran out fast that day.
Planted up 7kg of daffodils today - tool of choice was a pickaxe as they were going in under a line of beech trees. Now have a large mound of assorted roots and rocks and a sore back. Roll on Spring which better be bright and yellow.
Not sure what happened to me this morning Was up in plenty of time as well was trying to manage a couple of my friends who were both out on dates last night both with different outcomes
Was out this evening with OH and Ma Panda for noodles, and then Ma and I went to a play celebrating 100 years of the Cathedral. It was a lot better than I thought it would be
No work for me today, and none til next Weds either .... a mini-hols. Chicklets still need taking to school though, so alarm went off at usual time. Might get out in the garden for a bit later - theres plenty of weeds out there that need tackling
as far as i can tell, i have no jobs to do today (famous last words), so after the nice man has delivered my groceries, i intend to get in my garden..... yay!
Morning all. Dull damp and cloudy here but not too cold.
Too much to catch up with here so I'm not going to try.
Glad fidget got away on her holiday. It all sounds very exciting and exotic. Hope the weather is kind for you chicky. Think the south is to get some decent sun in the next few days so those weeds will be a thing of the past by Monday
Pickaxe, roots and rocks are the order of the day here too Steephill, along with the pain. We'll hopefully reap the reward in spring though - a burst of colour for you and an area for a new lawn for me. That's what I keep telling myself anyway.
Perhaps I should have porridge this morning .... or maybe spinach
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

This is far too late for me after an early start this morning so think I'll turn in. Night all.
