Chicky those crates look really lovely. Fidget I think tulips go at the bottom, the info I got delivered with my bulbs said 8" for tulips, 6" for daffs. I thought I had gone mad but certainly havent ordered 300. Mind you, that said, I reckon I must have ordered nearly 200 Alliums, on top of that I have ordered tulips, daffs, crocus, hyacinths, grape hyacinths, OK perhaps I have ordered 300.
Hi everyone No time ti catch up sorry as off to bed, I just wanted to let you know I am still here but had a very busy (and stressful at times) couple of days and haven't felt like doing anything at all when I eventually got to sit down!!
Thinking of you all and all those with family problems and poorly relatives / friends. Apart from that I hope you are all well and healthy.
I had an email from the French Post, my parcel will arrive tomorrow. I think it's 6 packs of 35 plug plants of violas and pansies, 1 pack of forget-me-nots, some erisymums, and some others. Each plug usually has 2 plants in it so if I'm careful with the potting up I will get nearly twice as many!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Lizzie's going to be busy today with all that lot to pot up I've now got my bulbs - will try and get the daffs and alliums in soon, but the tulips will wait til November. The pots they are going in are still full of annuals - that still look respectable, if not quite in their midsummer glory- so it is no hardship to wait.
off to meet old friends for dinner tonight (we met at Uni - many moons ago) - so will see you all tomorrow morning - bright and early
Sorry i didnt get on here yesterday, did the gym, which pretty much did for me! Then my phone died, looks like i will need a new one soon as this one dosent charge properly. Hope you are all ok
Good morning folks. Just popping in on sons iPad . We've had a light shower here in Suffolk and OH says we've had a shower at home too. The first rain for ages.
