Thank you GG for sharing your station story, you have done a fantastic job
Wish I could be in that tardis for you Bekkie
We had some rain last night and thank goodness as garden really needed it but sorry for those who are getting the scarey storms especially BLs poor woofie, glad he is home safe
Morning all, still a bit overcast here but going to take advantage of all the rain and get some more digging done, have created a list of plants to put in this poor border now so feeling a bit more enthusiastic about it, feel I have a goal.
BL felt for your poor dog, he must have been scared to death, was serious thunder.
Beckie - 4 buses, think you need a new vet - nearer, you could walk the puppy there I suppose so at least he will sleep tonight.
Fairygirl, pleased you happy too, makes sense really, but what do I know?
Busy days for most - enjoy, nearly the week end so you can work even harder in the gardens.

Didn't get on last night and not caught up after a 5 1/2 hour journey home!! My lovely sister and boys had left the house spotless and she had done my washing and ironing because she knew we would be shattered, what a sweetie, dint you just live little sisters
Anyway, off to North Wales today for some salt mining and then it's weekend, but only half a weekend for me as we are a stock taking on Sunday and then Monday is the big day.......day one of our new business (although obviously it will have significance to OH as I'm still working) very, very excited
Morning all. Must get on tidying for the BBQ and preparing food, marinades for meat, salads, a pud (others are making other puds).
Had to buy a new phone because of the storm, now it needs information and answer machine recording put into it. Instruction booklet is in French, I speak French quite well, but French and technical is hard.
Was glad to see the news this morning. But I hope all the division hasn't caused problems for us in the rest of the World. The UK is so small we really need to stick together.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
There I am saying "we" and "sticking together" when I live in France! But I never wanted to leave England in the first place and now it's so complicated to move back after nearly 30 years.

I forgot to say a special big good morning to our friends north of the border, I am so glad that you are still with us I get poor Alex Salmond isn't feeling quite so happy this morning....oops
Having a goal is the right way to do it DD - it keeps up the motivation when there's a lot to do.
Thanks for you kind sentiment too. Change has happened, despite the result, and it would be naive to think it will all just go back to normal - there's a lot of ill feeling. I hope it can be resolved.
lily - can you send some rain this way? I've never know it to be so dry here for so long. I've been watering so much it's ludicrous! Scarified the front grass yesterday and tidied all the edges and borders, which I didn't get done the other day. A nice bit of gentle rain would be ideal to freshen it all up.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good luck for Monday OL, how exciting that the day has finally come Bet OH is excited but nervous at the same time, sending you lots of love and best wishes for a massive success
Ill send you some rain Fairy so you can have a restful day, you deserve it
BL could you get those instructions translated in google thingermejig?
