Rb that sounds yummy. Have you tried making one with hot cross buns? That's lovely too and gets rid of any stale ones at Easter (not that we have any stale ones left)
GG good luck with shifting manure and hope your back holds out.
DD I hope Shadow has a quick recovery and is soon back to normal. It is the best thing to do but most men don't understand
Well done Gardengirl, all your hard work sounds amazing. Also dead jealous of free manure for you and DD, I'd be in there like a shot
Okay, so this morning I had to clear a rubbish pile alongside our house. Nasty business since it didn;t belong to me and some b**ger decided to dump two bin liners and other random stuff like Clothes!!! with it. I mean? It's a disused area but for the life of me I cannot understand this mentality. I never allowed my kids to drop litter let alone anything else!
It was a bitter wind that went through me and gave me the chills. Suffice to say, majority has been moved but I felt so violated clearing other peoples' filth from the side of my house that I was quite upset.
OH bought me 5 Iris Cable Car to make up for it and while I would have preferred say three of one and three of another, the thought did cost him £50 so thank you darling OH.
Am feeling better this afternoon, off to the hair dressers TTFN
Gardening this morning (more pruning, clearing leaves from gravel paths etc) but it's now raining. I'm feeling better now the garden looks a bit more loved and cared for though...
Got some free manure one day last week. Our "road" is also a bridleway, and we had a party of learner horse riders come past the window on their way to the park. A couple of steeds decided that outside my house was the ideal place for a dump, so I was quickly out with my bucket & shovel, and added the arisings to the compost heap. However, I think I need some proper well-rotted stuff for my raspberries - will have to ask around & see if my neighbour would like to share a load, since both have small gardens.
Going out this afternoon for afternoon tea - pre-Valentine treat.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
...bother, clicked "Submit" before I meant to - so I'd better not share RB's delicious-sounding bread & butter pud, or I won't have room... But I'm sure Verdun will manage my portion. Medicinal, of course.
