I didn't get to the nursery. I spent most of the day waiting for a district nurse for Dad, only for her to turn up at 3pm, spend 5 minutes, agreed that a bungalow is OK for someone who is frail, and then took Mum shopping. Someone else might come to see if he needs grab handles in the toilet.  I suspect this would be easier if we did it all ourselves, or maybe thats what they wantimage

We were lucky - when Dad broke his hip,and since he looked after Mum, theycame and spent ages doing all the handles and bits and pieces to make it easier for both of them to manage themselves. Postcode lottery sometimes. image

He was most taken with the doodah to help him put his socks on - it was like a litter grabber! image

I think Dove was on the gin when she tripped...she's a terrible lush you know...image

  • Hi everyone, I've not been in since Monday.....we all caught the dreaded bug and on Monday night OH, big boy and me were all really ill - I spent most of yesterday in bed recovering and didn't make it to London image Thankfully it was only a 24 hour but though so albeit nasty it was short lived and we are all better now image

I've caught up a bit and big hugs for all those with poorly parents (Punk and Verdun as I recall and anyone else I've missed).

Huge hugs for Dove and GG with their gardening / DIY injuries, make sure you rest that ankle Dove (from the ankle expert image)

I think Panda may be poorly too but not sure why? So hope Panda is better soon.

Hugs to anyone else I've missed.

Happy holidays to anyone who hasn't had them yet, I think some have been mentioned but can't remember who and happy Indian summer staycation to the rest of us image

Thank you Nut for all my lovely seeds, they will be sown at weekend image

I won't be around much for the next week or so, lots going on and I'm a busy bee but I'll be thinking about you all xx
