The tea breads are good Steve - Bara Brith. The fruit's soaked overnight in tea as Dove says. They don't last long in this house though...the only travelling they do is to my mouth
Good to see you back in the land of the virtual Dove
I ain't been up to nuffink guv..
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
No need to get me jewellery Verd - some plants will do. It's not my birthday for a few weeks yet but I'm happy to receive an unbirthday present just now
I think Spike would like a new plant or two ...
Know what you mean about the light. There's something very particular about it in Autumn, whether it's a misty day or a bright sunny one. It enhances lots of planting. I'm looking forward to those spider webs with their 'diamonds' along them on damp hazy mornings. I've made this privacy screen with a little window in the middle and older fairy said last week 'won't that be lovely if a spider makes a web across it' - which it surely will.

Sorry to butt into this thread but I have just been reading some of the posts on here and I must say that you all seem like such a great 'community'. The support and friendship which shows through in the conversations is lovely to see.
My thought's are with those of you experiencing such heartbreaking times at the moment.
And now, I am off to google boiled fruit cake recipes!
