  • Evening all,

OH gone off on his bike ride, he tries to go twice a day for about 7 miles in the hope of losing weight, don't like to tell him it's not working cos I quite like the 40 minutes 'me time' while he's gone - and get to read the posts.image

Do have to endure the daily 'debrief' though and enthuse about the 15 seconds he has shaved off his time - image Bless him, he is trying.

Had a lovely afternoon with BL, so knowledgeable and so nice to have someone understand my problems with the garden, unlike OH who just tells me to get digging & stop moaning. (Poor man is getting a hard time tonight isn't he.) BL also brought cake too (and forgot to take leftovers home) so we had a double helping - delicious. image

Sad to hear about all the hospital woes, very sad (and worrying) about the uncaring 'carers' too.

Very impressed with path pics yesterday - can see a mini version of that winding around my rockery (when I eventually get to make it after digging the rest of the beds into shape) image

Anyway, must be off and make like I have been really busy for last 40 mins! image

Bung it in, can't do any harm and will improve the tasteimage

OL I'd put wine in it and  some water and reduce it...go by taste ..more water if needed.

KEF (hugs).  It's all the little things isn't it?  I've not got a potting bench - I have a plastic table(on the patio). See - you're a lucky woman esp now it's vino timeimageimage. Do agree that a joke now and again helps with stress - you're in another happier place for a short time

Glad you had a nice day with Lizzie DD.  Next time she's over here she can bring cake tooimage

Twice a day for 7 miles is 14 Bekkieimage

Sorry OL, can't help with that one, although I'm sure white wine wouldn't hurt image think i'd probably put a little dash of wine in image      Bet Dove would know.

Yes Dove would know but I guess she is either out eating lovely food, reading or zzzzzz'ing image Anyway, thank you everyone and panic over.....as Jim McDonald has just said 'patience is a virtue' (how weird is that image). Anyway, I hadn't added the red and yellow toms and they obviously have more juice than green so the liquid has restored itself now and it's still simmering nicely image Thank you all anyway for putting up with y mild panic......right, off for a quick check then I will catch up.

I agree runnybeak, I had to do the same....on more than one occasion for my mum when she was in hospital.....can't believe some people are actually nurses. Although there are lots of lovely ones too.
