Ha ha Bekkie, your comment above reminder me of why I was so good when I was younger......my dad used ti make me stand in the corner facing the wall if I was naughty or answered back.....or looked at him the wrong way Oops
Actor?? Wishful thinking I think!! One do these days I'm going ti have to come clean and reveal that I am really Nigella or someone equally glamorous
I think a few people have mentioned being under the weather today, hope you are all better soon.
KEF, good news re the shopping
I have just had the most delicious runner beans, if I'm honest I've never been a huge fan before (eating mushy ones or stringy ones growing up didn't help) but they were delicious, so much better than shop ones or ones I have had before, and I am now thinking of growing some next year Thank you KEF.
Just a quick pop in to check up on you all, see you are all as busy as ever and as chatty as ever.
OH back home now so having to be a bit more disciplined with HW, real meals & stuff. Also had a couple of nice days out, went to the races on Sunday, just watched, didn't bet - OH disapproves but it was a lovely setting, Pompadour.
Also cycled to our nearest town on Saturday with sproglet and watched a bike race, it was very exciting even though we had no idea who they all were - very skinny though, perhaps I should get out and cycle more, maybe where I am going wrong.
Like others I love M&S but felt a bit deflated today when my size 12 trousers were more than a little uncomfortable, sat eating strawberry pavlova to console myself, with a glass of vino - can't understand why they don't fit anymore
Been busy playing with my new trailer too, been to the 'dump' (as some call it) twice today with chopped down tree overgrowth and have free access to manure whenever I want it now.
BTW, what constitutes 'well rotted' manure - how long should I be keeping it before spreading on the roses? Have one empty bed that I am spreading it all over and then covering up until spring as instructed by an expert, but what about the others with existing plants?

Oh no.....not the ice bucket challenge Both my boys have done it over the weekend and there is NO way you'll get me doing it! I'm far too much of a wuss LOL
I'm well hungry now KEF, your dinner sounds delicious!
OL I love runner beans, was close to buying some in sainsburys today but they were three pounds for small packet!!!
well done to all the young uns who have done the ice bucket challenge We received short vid of our 11 year old niece who did it yesterday, so proud of her
Oh mrsG I love sneaking stuff in black sacks for the bin men!Especially as they only come once a fortnight now grrr
Hope work was ok panda, feet up now you're home
Sounds like you have been right busy bee DD now your boys are home I'm not sure about the manure but doesn't it burn plants if fresh, think you need to leave quite a while
Hi, have spent most of day in village shop, doing the wages, shelf stacking and serving. Had a very nice piece of fillet steak from a farm 1 mile away, which was on it's sell-by date, for £2 !!
Bought some ferns yesterday Gg, some from InExcess and some from Wolvercroft. And a couple of Early Safin heleniums for splitting.Looked for Lucifer crocosmia for my new hot border. A friend also helping in shop says she can give me lots, and some more ferns, and I will give her some Phlox.
I have bindweed and she has ground elder, so we promised not to swop that too
I know exactly what you mean about aisle blockers KEF Dinner sounds good though - yours too Woody - great bargain.Glad you've managed something BL. Horrible when you feel like that. We're having chicken wrapped in Parma ham with some roasted veg and potatoes. Nice and easy to put together when you've been out doing stuff.
The young robin was testing out the new pond facilities but was also hopping over to the 'birdbath' for a dip. He's obviously not convinced yet! Can't blame him since it's only partly done.
Ggirl - BH - you're right...why didn't I think of that...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
