Glad Panda had a lovely birthday - arch is gorgeous
Woody's terrace is lovely too
Hope all other tasks went according to plan - potting on, hem stitching, cake eating etc
I'm off to visit son and then Aged Ps today so garden will have to look after itself - it's got to that rather dishevelled autumnal stage - think more dead-heading is called for - dentist and GP tomorrow morning - maybe I'll have time to spend in the garden at the weekend - the lawn needs cutting again as well.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Today, I have to wait for the practice nurse to ring me to confirm what jabs I need, and then make an appointment to have them. This is because the receptionist doesn't think they do hep a (they did last time), and has no idea of geography outside the east Midlands. Good job I am forward planning and not going next week.
Morning all. Glad you've had a lovely birthday Panda and you can get your new arch all planted now.
Woody's terrace is a delight. I love his trompe l'oeil box hedge
A dreich dull day here so h****work today
Which reminds me of Tim Vine's recent award winning joke about h****work. 'I'm thinking of getting rid of my hoover. Well - it's only gathering dust'....
but a visit to a friend later, so not all bad!
My grass will have to wait till tomorrow or the weekend too Dove.
Have a good day
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
