Panda thank you for arch update and understand now why you are excited for tomorrow I thought you was getting Silver birch tree? Guess you're being spoilt but bet you deserve it
Need a coffee now, still lots to do and it's gone nine already!
Just thought id share with you.... still in ' gardening clothes' ( not the prettiest of sights). OH told me I look like Charlie dimmock ( now how does he k ow that name I wonder). To which I answered by ( men and sensitive folk cover your ears and eyes) liifted shirt and showing bra to prove I am indeed no such Charlie! Sorry too much info there, think I need a glass of vino!
Well, I've shut the greenhouse and polytunnel up for the first time in months. Found some figs in the greenhouse that the small furry animals missed, and found a hefty hedgehog at the back of the greenhouse(outside). He'd got under a seedtray. When I lifted it off , I think he was swearing at me. very vociferous. A quick round up of gladioli for the house, some victoria plums for supper, and a load of tomatoes, and a cucumber.
I took a carrier bag full of beans to work today, swapped for eggs, and a promise of damsons in a couple of weeks. There's a lot of stuff ready to ripen yet, I'm not ready for frosts yet, but it seems very autumnal out there.
More work tomorrow. We plan to have cream cakes tomorrow, I think we deserve them. Why do people wait until 5 .15 on the day before they go on holiday, to realise they haven't enough medication to last until they get home?
Woody - i'll be there Got a new terrace to inspect. Meantimes we should arrange an autumn outing to Wisley for anyone down soufff who is interested .....
