Well I've met no-one.  Bekkie I think we should arrange a day out somewhere, I drive so I can pick you up it's no bother.  Maybe somewhere like Biddulph Grange in Staffordshire.  I think David K is arround that area and didn't Runnybeak say she was in the West Mids.

Liri, dont you have the RHS garden near to you is it Harlow Carr, I know one of them is Yorkshire way.  My best friends daughter lives in Leeds so I might be able to beg a bed for the night if I come up that way.

Verdun where in Cornwall are you, its a big county but I know most of it.  Our best mans auntie lived in Bodmin and we used to stay with her quite often and travel all over.  Also had lovely holidays in Perranport, Mawgan Porth, Callington and Polpero.

Im still up for a minibus to France!

Mrs G, Sheffield is about two hours away, best friends daughter (the one that lives in Leeds) went to Sheffield uni and I went to visit her a couple of times. I think its about 80 miles perfectly doable in a day.

BM definitely let me know when u r up.  I can get Bekkie and we can have tea and cake and perhaps organise a visit somewhere local.

Ive been to quite a few countries on holiday but never been to France, except for a weekend in Paris, and that was a disaster.  Hubby fell asleep on the Seine boat trip and the person conducting the tour couldnt make herself heard over his snoring.  Romantic Eh

Yes, Yvie, I can get to Harlow Carr, the "local" RHS garden.  image  It's in North Yorks, near Harrogate, and is well worth a visit, if any of you fancy a Northern adventure...  Would be great to meet you!  image  Hmmm.  Minibus trip to France, eh?  Wonder if I could swing that one with OH??  image

Hi Panda - OH's are something else aren't they? - what ever would we do without them - bless their cotton socks image

Big day tomorrow isn't it? Will we need the fire brigade in attendance for the candles on your cake? image Hope so - have a bit of a thing for firemen image

Good luck with the arch (is that the one which was damaged in the storm?)

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Mrs G, just seen your post.  Sheffield feels a long way south of me but I guess it isn't really...  I'm in Todmorden, midway between Halifax, Burnley & Bradford.  Much nicer than it sounds!  image

Hello I'm back from a lovely day out with daughter - we went to Pin Mill (the setting for some of Arthur Ransome's children's novels) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pin_Mill and had a fantastic lobster salad lunch image and a walk along the foreshore and the wooded river bank alongside all the houseboats that are moored there.

Any news from BL and DD or have they both been taken by white slave traders?
