I post fairly regularly on other the other GW forums but, so far, have not joined in with this one. I've been reading it regularly & it seems like fun and, to be honest, all this talk of CAKE has finally drawn me out of the woodwork
Dove - that cake looks absolutely scrummy & I've copied the recipe ready to try - lucky friend with all the treats you've cooked up - any left overs send them this way!
Lily Pilly - I've never had to cater for anyone with those allergies but if you Google 'eggless and dairy free cake recipes' there are quite a few to look at including a choccie one (I think).
Best wishes to all those feeling poorly (a lot of it about at the moment)
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
BL - glad to be of service regards BH - may well take you up on dentist contact if can't find an English speaking one around here - October is 6 month check up time for us all.
Think I might have offended the previous owner of this house when we first moved in - she asked me if I was happy and what was my favourite room - insensitively (they were very proud of renovating it all themselves) I declared the drying room, amazing hidey hole full of washing lines and hot air. She wasn't impressed. Think I was supposed to say the very fancy 'salon'.
Becki - what's a lenor wotsit? A new flavour?
Dove = cake looks amazing, next guests will definitely be getting a slice of that (after I have tested the recipe on myself 1st!) How is your bottom by the way? Also, looking for plum recipes - have hundreds. And never mind a cuppa - get them fuschias's going - mine are looking good still - surprise surprise.
Finally a gardening question - what do you do with mushy windfall fruit? Put in on the compost heap or rake it in the soil where it falls? Got apples, plums and greengages all affected by strong winds.
Why are my posts so long you can all say so much in so few words!

Verdun you have managed to identify one of my mystery plants without me even posting a pic - well done - Salvia Uglinosa, I am very impressed, by you and the plant.

DD, im not sure how to describe them, they look like little beads you put in before the washing but in addition to detergent and i think you also use softener, basically they just smell nice which i am a sucker for, but they are really pricey, will wait to see what others think first
Fidget, i think that is the only recipie i have ever seen that i already have the ingredients for! No cake cases tho , will def try it
Muddy Fork thank you I had no idea there was a substitute and to fidgetbones for recipe ideas and sensible comments. Yes, I knew about the chocolate and have that.
Top Bird I have been cross eyed this afternoon! Almost a case of too much information but you guys have all helped. Thanks. Hope everyone has nice weekend
