Welcome back Chicky I wondered where you had gone.
OH can't remember if I wished you and OH well last night but another wish wont hurt will it.
That's it Verdun, everytime I come down to Cornwall I will be thinking of that horrid creature. Where I live there's a man that runs a business selling the damn things down the road, I love my house but I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known.
Bizzie, don't know how you do it. My firstborn and two granddaughters have just gone home after spending the night here and I've had to collapse on the sofa to recover. I always have the baby in with me when they stay to give firstborn a break. She was up playing at 4.30 (baby not firstborn). It's a good job she is georgeous. Hubby took eldest granddaughter out on a bike ride. She's only just 6 and managed to cycle six miles getting absolutely filthy and covered in mud on the way. She had a great time. Have just checked the garden and nothing died so I think I got away with moving everything. I can now start thinking about what I can get to fill the spaces. Lovely.
Lovely to see you chick - we wondered where you'd been
Lesley - did you find a dead cow somewhere?.....
Verd - I know you don't want more tourists coming down there, but really - that's a bit extreme Lesley's got plenty of food if you're hungry. No doughnuts though.
Bit thundery here too GGirl, and we've had some heavy rain and more forecast. Hope it doesn't last too long. I knew my compost would be best of course...
Builder man coming to see my plans in an hour. Hope he can give me a start date that isn't next year, but I'm not holding my breath.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
... Cooked 2 chillies, 3 bolognaise doing cottage pies later (shedload of minced beef) and chicken curry and chicken in mushroom sauce tomorrow. Phew. Bet Dove's doing wonderful classy stuff...
Not really classy - a fish pie for tomorrow, (cod, smoked haddock, salmon and cockles, lots of parsley from the garden in a creamy sauce - fluffy Maris Piper on top) and a huge Daube of Beef for Saturday - (ox cheek, mushrooms, carrots, shallots, olives and a bottle of red wine) simmering away in the oven now - it'll take about 4 hours. There'll be plenty left for Monday and maybe Tuesday too!
House has had a quick wipe over downstairs and our new rug (delivered today - a real cowhide) looks fantastic on the polished parquet.
Cake and Picnic pie to bake tomorrow for the picnic on Sunday, plus a quick wipe over the bathroom. Friend isn't leaving Gloucs until late morning I think I'll have time to do what has to be done
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hope you have a really good day on Sunday Dove. I have 3 men living here who are not overly keen on veg and herbs. |Young men not too bad but OH has never grown tall He would love your fish pie and the bottle of red wine too. Just a smidgeon please
No dead cow found Fairy - had to pay Morrisons to find it for me.
OL I'll be 27 next year though my birth certificate says otherwise. I'll be eligible next year
Hi Chicky, great to see you, I wondered where you had gone and glad you had a lovely holiday......loving the flag and even more excited and giddy for mine now
