Fairy, Merry Christmas to you & yours think we are all grateful to not be involved in such tragedy
Pdoc MerryChristmas back to you Don't be so down you don't have to go to the pub with the hunt mob present until the 26th . They don't call me elephant brain for nothing I remember your grumbles and the trouble you got into last Boxing Day for not going Chin up mate, days are now getting longer. Don't be a mardy arse chat with us if you feel down
Hello all to forkers who may be looking in but not been on here for a while Stacey and Lo, Bekkie, Allium2, Poddington pea, and others just can't think Hello
Just made another batch of sausage rolls, this lot using Delia's quick flaky pastry recipe (a family favourite). Also made some dairy-free ones for daughter and little granddaughter, who is a fabulous eater at 9 months - eats the same as the rest of the family, virtually, though they have to make sure she avoids soya and dairy.
Commiserations, Punkdoc. The black dog visits this family too; OH is fighting it on a regular basis, and daughter suffers too. Horrible thing. Hang on in there - we're all rooting for you!
Shadow looks a lovely dog, DD, and seems to have fallen on his feet with you and your family! Hope you have many happy years together.
Night all.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Not a doggy person DD - but son and his new mate look pretty damn happy already. Lucky dog to have a new, caring home
KEF's right doc - we made it through last winter and, before you know it, the days will get warmer and we'll all be out there waging war on the weeds, snails, slugs and cats and struggling with wayward stems, failing crops and the neighbour's overhanging branches ....or stomachs.....
Doesn't bear thinking about KEF - that young girl's mother was there. Every shade of wrong when your child dies before you, and right in front of you.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fg How do you struggle with your neighbour's overhanging stomachs? Please explain - is it some sort of ancient Scottish mud-wrestling? Does HM watch it at The Highland Games?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Shadow fed, watered and walked, definitely need to invest in a good torch, my little M&S handbag one doesn't quite cut it - no street lights here, in fact no streets, just tracks.
Off to SM this morning to get the turkey, supposedly not same panic here in shops - hope not anyway or it will just be carrots, sprouts and potatoes for Xmas dinner.
Interesting idea Dove of Scottish mud-wrestling, definitely more explanation required.
Happy Christmas Eve everybody.
