He is 9 months old and is called Jack, although tbh think that is a 'rescue' name as he doesn't take any notice of it when called. We are considering other possibilities. Toast (my choice) has been ruled out, (cat is called Marmalade), but Zeus is in the mix, Charlie's topic at school this term. Watch this space is all I can say. Think OH will get final decision as he has really been bullied into having a dog and think he needs to feel some ownership.
Apparently (according to Charlie) we are taking him for a walk at 6 am in the morning!

DD your D'fer looks lovely bless him! I hope he has a quiet nught.
I made the awful mistake of trying to read my book rather than concentrate on falling asleep before his lordship... his snoring has forced me downstairs where I have learnt
1. The sofa is amazingly uncomfortable
2. The curtains are no match for the street lights... nor the motion sensitive security light
3. The TV and all its shiny lights powers up and down randomly: cue minor heart attack!
4. The hole in the wall aka former fire place sounds like a tornado is brewing
5. When I buy a new sofa I will also buy a thicker blanket to sit on it, this one is definitely summer material
Off to collect Turkeys for the Village Shop to fulfil our advance orders. Other side of Forest. Very Stressful...what if we don't keep everyone happy on Christmas day??
OH is dreaming about turkeys at the moment Woody - the farm shop has hundreds sitting waiting in the cold store for their Forever Home! A turkey is just for Christmas!
They also supply turkey crowns - they come from the farm all ready prepared and packaged nicely in a box. Last year they had someone come in after Christmas to say that when they'd opened their box on Christmas morning to put the crown in the oven, they found they had the back end of a turkey and not the front!!! They were very understanding and had made the best of it, but how did the farmer make that mistake??? OH has checked all the boxes this year!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning, up early too - wanted to check on the dog. He was quiet as a mouse all night and when I came down he didn't even stir, managed to make a cup of coffee before he realised I was about, so he is obviously settled. Had his breakfast & morning walk - note to self, take a torch next time - it's dark out there!

Thats a shame Susan, but she'd probably not want to use the bag now anyway. At least the girl was caught. Best wishes to you both.
DD, awwww he's so cute, can see why you love him already.
