Bob - that reminds me of a previous house where we had a couple of portly wood pigeons that visited. They used to walk along the footpath at the front and come in the path entrance to the garden. They were obviously incapable of managing to fly over the low (two feet) fence, which would have been a more direct route!
Still sewing school skirts and ironing here..
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
We have a woodpigeon who thinks he lives with us - he eats the hedgehogs' leftovers - OH has named him Peabrain - it seems to fit
I've just been outside and moved my special dahlia Starchild, to a less blustery corner - it's just about to burst into bloom.
And I've picked our first fig of the summer - beautifully ripe - we have some Parma ham so that'll be our starter this evening. It's big enough to share - it weighs 4.7ozs!!!
That's a 2p next to it for scale
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Fairy is in Scotland isn't she? I think they break up earlier and go back earlier in Scotland Lily. Are you having a good day, apart from the rain, oh and are you ok afteryour bump? Someone sued Virgin you know as they walked into a glass door
Has anyone on here taken Floradix to stop tiredness and did it work?
Why are nice girls so soft-hearted? Took my daughter a while to stop adopting lame dogs - mind you, it probably runs in the family but we do grow out of it eventually Any chance of there being a nice young man at her new job?
I'm glad you've got sun too Verdun - we've got it too, but I'm not sure for how long ....

We had really black skies to the west a little while ago - now we have bright blue skies, white fluffies and sunshine - for a little while

Don't suppose you can split that fig three ways Dove
Weather has been drizzle, then rain, then a bit of sun. Now very dark, heavy rain and getting windy
Hope all have removed pots from walls and sheltered things.
BFN, going to put a cardi on

Verdun, you need to act as Cupid and find her a nice eligible bachelor quickly before the a**e comes back
Glad your mum enjoyed her meeting, even if that type of thing isn't for you I'm sure she will have appreciated you taking her.
