Morning all! Sorry I missed the party sounded like fun. We have thunder this morning and heavy rain but looks like it will clear up this afternoon. We spent yesterday afternoon at the new allotment and I am aching today! More than half of it cleared so a good half days work.
Gardengirl - I am from Poole in Dorset
DavidK - re your dog visitor, if all else fails could you not 'develop' a new allergy to dogs?!
Morning all. Storms aren't meant to get up here till tonight and tomorrow so just rain for now. Hope no one here is suffering too much. Dove - your son is having a rough time
I'm just ignoring - been doing that for a while. I simply don't comment rather than press the button though. Frankly I find it all baffling, but it takes all sorts I suppose. I don't like seeing people drawn into something though
Off for a look round - I wasn't on last night - was Watching The Verdict with lovely Paul Newman
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Still raining, not stormy tho, but it looks like it will be here all day, tv off now, never mind, will watch another day
Sorry to hear about sons roof Dove, im sure his mates will rally
Verdun, If that astraintia get damaged in the rain, im happy to look after it for you, i have a soft spot for astrantias as they remind me of childhood hollibobs - im sure most 8 year olds didnt take a field guide with them (possibly Clari )
I domt think we can blame grot bags or Yvies brolly for this weather! It Ma nature getting mixed up again, maybe its time for hrt?
Raining here but gentle. Just what my parched garden needs. Very dark though, that probably means a storm on its way. Not much wind, which is what does the damage.. OH commented yesterday that the bed with the lilies and phlox in now looks very sad. The lilies have been deadheaded, the phlox need to be, the rain ruined the petals.
Time for a hack down and feed the shredder , I think.
Thank you Verdun, it wasn't a pm just the thread I am following update and guess what 5 mins later that person did post and nothing of concern. maybe the rain is interfering with the order and timings of my Internet
I have similar issues with notifications, I think youre right about the mice Dove!
Had a rubbish night, lots of dreaming- in one i brought one of those tiny dog sized horses??? Whatever! Had to get up at 5 and get a duvet out of the cupboard for OH,who is never cold??? Odd
Beaus mum...Lol....if grotbag wasn't a witch.....she's one in training......I had noticed too that since stopping work, Thursday has been the only decent day weatherwise......sorry folks

Rain even heavier now!
glad all calm with you Verdun and hope your sons friends are able to help him Dove before too much damage occurs

Beau's Mum - I think notifications are a law unto themselves at the moment - every so often I get some when I've not ticked the box on that thread.
I'm wondering whether this forum is a bit like the Marvellous Mechanical Mouse Organ, and when Daniel's away the mice try to "fix it"
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
