That's why you shouldn't wash them before cooking (splashing bugs over sink area is a no no!) and why you should cook it through properly.

    Lots of info here http://www.patient.co.uk/health/campylobacter-leaflet

That's true Bekkie, rice and potatoes are also really bad for food poisoning  and people don't realise it.  Ok, I won't go veggie then image

I never rinse my chicken and if I can avoid it i don't buy from the supermarket either.

  • Every year I can collect quite a lot of Agapanthus seedlings, mainly from my gravel drive to pot up and grow on. I give most away. The village will soon be Agapanthus Alley. image. Also they can look good with their seed heads on. Only drawback for me is do they lose strength?

So if you want to cut them off why not leave them on a couple of plants to collect seed/seedlings?

    Morning all.
Dordogne Damsel, this is a bad summer by Dordogne standards, but I prefer it. I hate the hot dry summers, uncomfortable and expensive on water. 2003 was awful. Lovely gladioli.

    HW and ironing  this afternoon.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

The only time I have had proper food poisoning it was from mushrooms! Thought I was dying, but the hallucinations werent too bad.  Before you all start there was definitely nothing magic about those mushrooms! Just had fabulous service from Kelways Ill post it on the good guys if I can find it.
