Lots to catch up on here - not sure I'll manage it
fidget - we were talking about family members at work today. Sometimes they can be very hard to fathom. I remember telling someone (who had serious, and extremely valid, issues with his mother) that just because she was his mother, it didn't mean he had to like her. I don't think he'd ever seen it that way before.
Good for you for not leaving it to anyone - you've earned it, so you spend it! Enjoy your hol!
Didn't think chicky had mentioned a holiday but I wasn't always on so just thought I'd missed her saying. cleared up here, so perhaps I can get my grass cut shortly before it becomes hay...
I just made a Verdun style joke there - 'shortly'...cutting grass...get it? Oh well...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lets not wait for Fidget to die, lets have a party anyway!
My Mum never wants to spend anything, she always says she wants to leave it to us kids. She always asks me whether it is ok. for her to go on holiday, or if i think it is too expensive.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
doc - my Dad was the same. My parents lived very quiet lives and I think they were always frightened to spend money 'just in case'. War generation - being prudent. I always wished they'd spent more on themselves when they had the chance, instead of leaving it all to us, but it just wasn't in their nature.

Hope you outlive me Fidget but I'll join in a knees up, even if I have to do it in my nursing home

Just thought maybe you could leave her a broom stick! Sounds like she would be perfect on one
I was exaggerating just a teeny tiny bit BM

Gotcha
Fairy girl, your garden is the neatest most perfect I've ever seen so knew it maybe a little exaggerated
But I only show you the tidy bits BM!
One day I'll turn the camera round and show you the 'work in progress' areas - not pretty!
