It is perishing cold out there - and everything/s so so soggy! I'm going to leave the runner bean haulms for a dry day - I'll get soaked through carting those around in the garden
Indoor job calling this afternoon - knitting woolly jumpers
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Andy - so sorry to hear you have been in the wars. Really hope they can sort out whatever it is - in the meantime take it easy - its perfect weathet for armchair gardening
I have a day of errands today, then some garden tidying up tomorrow.
Sad to say goodbye to Monty yesterday - i always enjoy GW on a Friday evening. And its reminded me to get out there and take some viburnum opulus cuttings
Oh dear Andy. I do hope all is well. A trip out to a GC will be ovely but don't get buying stuff that needs planting.
I hope you soon recover and get some sense from Hospital. Thinking of you.
(puts my back into perspective)
Acorns seem to have finished showering the garden, Now it's the leaves which I don't mind. Can't wait to fill my new leaf composter I made (how sad am i?)
I just can't get out there at moment to do anything so am feeling a bit frustrated.
I am knitting what are called wrist warmers - well can't do much else. I thought they looked great for gardening with when it gets cold - what am I saying - great for gardening at this time of year!
Will give a pair to sons Oh as well as she loves being out there doing as well
Oh Andy, what a shock, hope you get better quickly. Hope Matty's back gets better soon too.
I haven't swept a single leaf yet. Poured with rain for 3 weeks, now I'm visiting family and friends in England, going home tomorrow and weather forecast is wet again.
Went to Tunbridge Wells yesterday, lunched with friends in a beamy old pub. Don't have pubs in France. Went to a food fair today then lunch in another pub with OH's daughter, SIL and grandchildren and old auntie (95).
