The last couple of posts reminded me, i saw a baby wren yesterday, never seen one before, soooo tiny! Its hard to imagine things that tiny surviving, but it seemed fineimage

Good morning Bekkie and anyone else who's around image

I spent yesterday evening watching The Games - some amazing swimming!!!  Also I'm so impressed with the way the Para-events have been integrated into the programme with all the other events rather than sidelined into another programme after most of the crowds have gone home as has been done in the past.  Para-athletes are athletes, first and foremost and it's great to watch image

Well, we didn't get the promised heavy thundery showers yesterday, just an insistent dampness.  Today has dawned bright and dry with blue skies - I shall be hanging yesterday's washing out as soon as it's had another rinse to freshen up after sitting in the basket for all of yesterday afternoon and evening.  image

Think I'd probably better have a got at the lawns too!

Fidget, sorry to hear about Hedgie, but maybe there was more wrong with him than the dehydration - as with other animals, they're not all born perfect.  But where there's one baby hedgehog there are adults and siblings so that's really good news image

    Good morning image

Clari do you know something I don't about the weather?  It's 17c and breezy here.

Dove, I was reading about your tomato plantation, are many of them for cooking? image

If we don't eat them immediately  I slow roast them in the oven with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil, garlic and sea -salt then freeze - a brilliant base for pasta sauces and brings summer sunshine to lots of other dishes through the winter image

Oh Verdun - what have you done??? image  It'll take them for ever to sort that out imageimage
