I remember stacking shampoos all summer (holiday job) and selling out of Sun cream completely(in Boots) and lots of lobster coloured people wanting burn cream.
Fidget, I'm glad I don't have any lasting skin damage, that I know about Think a lot of time was under the apple trees. Think you must be same age as me or bit younger.
Sorry, wasnt born til oct '79, but somehow remember all summers being like this when i was a kid! Funny how selective memory can be
Thank goodness the weather is still good, this pup has peed on everything, the kingsize throw from the sofa is on the line and the one from the bed is in the washer, both times were when the OH was supposed to be watching him! Have lost count how many times ive mopped the floor!
Piece of roasted salmon and some fresh salad bits from the garden for tea. Very pleasant and simple
Were the 'burny' people Scots fidget?
KEF - nobody thought about sun screen in those days. I worked outdoors then, and always had brown arms! Got fed up with people saying how lucky I was, being out in the lovely sun all day .... had to restrain myself from saying -'come back in November/December mate, when it's p***ing down all day for weeks on end, or in January when there's several feet of snow and you have to dig out a four foot snowdrift just to get into the stables before you even start'.
Happy days.....
Was thinking of cutting the grass. I've thought about it.... and decided I can't be bothered
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Don't know why but suddenly hard the urge to go out and do some gardening. Cut my astrantias down, after collecting seed, then watered the roots to kick start the new growth. This tidies up the dahlia bed nicely so they can now have their turn in the sun.

Lots of newspapers, beckie. Every time he squats, pick him up and put on newspaper. he'll get the hang of it eventually.

No, fairygirl. Lots of pit moggies, who spend their working lives underground, and when they see the sun, it affects the brain.

Awwww bekkie, what type of doggy is it and whars his name.
