Evening all - sounds like everybody's been busy. Hope Panda's tooth is feeling a bit better and the rest of you have got over your floppiness & ironing exertions.

It's been a lovely day here - if rather squelchy after a night of very heavy rain. Cleared loads of leaves - most of which are have completely filled two one-tonne builder sacks for leaf mould & the rest have filled the council bin

Have also done an absolutely huge pile of shredding (mostly cosmos). I saved grass cuttings from last week & was able to make proper layers of shreddings / grass/ cardboard / paper in the compost bin (don't often get the volume of stuff all at once to do it properly). It was getting really quite hot by the time I'd finished so should rot down fairly quickly.

G&T with Countryfile then jacket potato & cheese for dinner (OH is away!) followed by final episode of Downton image

Chicken, rice and veg soup heating just now so might have some of that for tea. Girls are just home from their Dad's and look a bit weary - his 50th party last night - so they may not want anything. Ironing all done as well image

Watching Rolando Villazon, Anna Netrebko and the wondrous, lovely Placido....big sigh....that'll do me image

Hi everyone, noticed briefly some talk of the 'I' word so I have something in common with you all.....I spent 2 hours with my Morphy Richards today, but at least it's done.  Also noticed some talk of cannas, is this a canna Lilly?

LOL.......I know how to look after Hedgie because I don't want him cracking in the frost, so he is going in the GH overwinter......shall I just leave the Calla Lily inside him?
