    Hope hedgie sleeps well.

Come to think of it - how is anyone meant to sleep in this heat? Open the windows, then open the curtains to let the air through, put in ear plugs to get rid of all the outside noise, next find an eye mask so the street lights not keeping you awake. Cold water bottle??? Too late to go and buy a fan, suppose a trip to the loft isn't out of the question - never know what noisy contraption may be up there. Anyone invented a reverse electric blanket yet, where you can switch it to cool setting? After all that im tired out but still too hot to sleep...

Another thought re your hedgehog fidgetbones - a website 'Hedgehog Health' which may be helpful.

OMG, trying to discuss a wildlife 'pond' with my big boy as I'm thinking of changing one of my Belfast sinks, he insists that a pond filled with plants is a swamp!!!   I swear if OH or big boy take the mick out of a certain person on GW once more I am going to string them up......apparently OH wants Charlie on it and then he will be interested!!!

Fidgetbones - or try British Hedgehog Preservation Society  may be an easier site.

See you have info from 'Hedgehog' thread - the better to keep track of comments than here image

    Good morning all image

I hope little Hedgie has survived the night - it does sound like dehydration to me, but I'm not a real expert in hedgehogs, just have them in the garden, and am used to rearing animals as I've spent a lot of my life on farms etc.

It would be good if everyone put out a shallow dish of water at night in this weather, whether or not they think they have hedgehogs - they might be surprised!!!

It's a lovely morning here - we're paying a flying visit to MIL today, back tomorrow.  My son is going to pop over and water anything that needs watering and put the hedgehog food out - but I gave everything a good soaking so there shouldn't be much to do image  He said he might stay overnight if he can get what he wants to watch on our tv. image
