Afternoon all. Had to drive to work one handed this morning - blood test for crohns / kidney issues / general bits not working as they should meant my poor right arm is in tatters! I'm sure the nurse was trying to get to a vein on the other side of my arm so hard was she prodding away. Eventually she gave up and had to write an apology on the paperwork saying she'd tried her hardest but these veins just aren't any good!

Very grey and dark here but at least it was nice for the weekend - I can't believe this time last year we were still getting thick snow.

    Keep safe everyone.

Clari, if she gave uo does it mean you'll have to go through it again?

Snow? Where? Oh sorry just read properly - last years snow!

    Lunchtime.

I could be worse Dove - I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who'd rather what I have then what they have.

Mrs. Garden - she's sending off what blood she got but if there's not enough for testing I'll have to go back. If I do go back I'll be making sure I drink so much water I'm full to bursting to make sure those veins are well stocked with fluid - any kind of fluid!!

Clari, I will do your bloods if you bake the cake.

That's an idea PD - come the revolution we could probably be fairly self-sufficient image

Nut, how are your Angelica gigas growing? Mine grew green stemmed leaves last year, but the new shoots are coming up with red stems on. They should all flower this year( 4 plants).

I'm glad you asked that fidget. I removed 4 slugs and the beginnings of an ant's nest when I went to look. They're OK but small. Probably looking at next year for flowers. I still have the puzzle of different leaf colour. From 2 different sources I have some with dark green leaves and some with purple/red leaves

Punkdoc - I'll happily bake the cake! It wont be as good as Doves obviously as I've not had quite as much practice. BUT my hot cross buns on Friday have proven a great success (i.e. we've scoffed the lot) despite my misgivings when they didn't rise as much as I expected them too.

I brought a battenberg cake tin the other day - needed an excuse to use it! image
