Good morning OL  - the house can be tidied later - you must keep off that foot (I mean it image) - if you want to do something useful you can plan some easy menus that don't involve much standing up to cook - think you know some friendly foodie types you can consult image

OL you get that rump back on the chair and that foot back resting! The house isn't going to fall to bits because you haven't cleaned today - trust me I haven't seen my polishing cloth since Friday. You need to rest else it'll just prolong the suffering.

Wait til the boys get back and tell them that they need to help where they can else you'll be too broken to go on your holiday and they'll be sent up here with KEF & I like evil aunts with Dove ensuring they're up extra early.

LOL, what are you lot like image It's so kind of you to care and I'm back sat down again now, the reason for needing to tidy is we have someone coming for an important meeting this morning and the house has to look decent, anyway, quick flick round and it's done so you can all stop worrying image It is actually feeling a lot better today, but still hurts at certain angles and when going up/down stairs.

Did anyone see my Cosmos question last night or should I start a thread, didn't think it was worth a thread for just one simple question image

Spinning?,Gym?, you have a garden FGS, what do you need a gym for? On Sunday I emptied The Rotol and dalek into the Tardis for maturing. One hours work with a fork. Yesterday I did some lopping, good for biceps. Today I am going to do some shredding. Shreddings go in big steaming pile in Builders bag for first heat up. Then a good sit down and give the eyes some exercise looking at the garden.

Cancel the gym membership. Spend it on plants instead.image

Think my ex boss used to over-winter her chocolate cosmos in the greenhouse ...

It was a question for my normal Cosmos Dove, it says in GW that the chocolate variety can be overwintered so I wondered if the same would apply to all Cosmos?  I think I'm going to try one this year anyway as an 'experiment', nothing to lose if it dies image

So pleased, my Dendrobium has 4 babies, I thought I was going to lose it when all the flowers dropped but have since found out that's normal, it's not like any other orchid with it's care requirements image

Cosmos atrosanguineus (chocolate cosmos) will overwinter as a tuber like dahlias. The two grown as annuals C. bipinnatus and C sulphureus )from seed won't. They will produce lots of seed though.

    Morning all.

OL, I'm pretty sure that normal cosmos is an annual. Anyway, it's so easy from seed. Chocolate cosmos is a tender perennial.

    Have a lovely holiday, Panda.

Cool, 14°, but sun is coming out.

Thank you, I understand now,mi didn't realise they were actually grown differently so will just keep the Cosmos seed, it will save me buying any white and if anyone wants to swap for some pink let me know image
