Hi Bill great to hear from you slowly slowly catch a monkey Do us a favour and keep the snow your side of the pond. Seriously hope you & MrsB are both okay and don't you go doing too much.
Been out for a good long walk today, taken some pics and as usual messed most up as I've said on camera thread I'd better spend the winter months learning how to use this camera.
Hope all stay warm and have a nice evening. We are off out for a few drinks and a meal later, so time to make efforts to look like a girlie and not a lump of mutton
Glad to hear about the sitting part Bill. You're doing a grand job there.
KEF I hope you enjoy your night out and I'm sure you'll be stepping out like a spring lamb
Only done a bit of pottering about in the garden the past couple of days but did spot a small variegated pieris which had a few stems reverting to green so they've been pruned out. The ground is far too soggy to do any weeding.
in my infinate wisdom, and lack of a good saw, ive decided to try and dig some of the trees out of the front garden....the things we do in the name of gardening!
Mucked out horses and finished weeding, digging and planting the long thin bed below the trellis. Added 5 barrows manure and 2 sacks compost. Planted 50 pink tulips and 15 purple ones, a load of violas and some forget-me-nots and a couple more perennials. Then emptied 2 troughs of pelargoniums and blue salvias and planted 20 pansies. Going to veg out in front of telly.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi Edd. I have been scuba ing a lot recently, in Indonesia.
Its alarming the amount of rubbish floating, the fact that they think they can just dump anything in the sea and it is gone. Indonesian and malaysian rubbish floats into the Indian Ocean, and gets washed up on remote atolls.
Washed up flip flops make shingles for the roof of the bike shed.
A large part of the world lives on less than $5 per day. we were paying more than that for one drink, than the girl serving us would be paid for the day.
Should we feel guilty about being able to afford it, or pleased that our tourism dollars help to support a very poor family?
I spent a lot of time stuffing floating bags in my BCD pocket to protect the turtles. I drew the line at the sanitary towel next to the anemone fishes.
I've been on liveaboard dive boats in Papua New guinea, where the boat, with its engines, and water makers, and electricity, and refrigeration, had more modern amenities than the entire Island we were moored up against.
I've seen Kids in dug out canoes who did not know how to unwrap a chupa chup.
Kids who marvelled at a cold can of coke and shared it amongst six so they could all experience a cold drink.
A teacher who cried when we gave her a bag of assorted pens and crayons for her children.
I'm very grateful for what I've got, and thankful for electricity at the flick of a switch, and clean water that comes out of a tap.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Anyone finding themselves lacking in energy? I think I might need to seriously consider hibernating.
