    Lovely colours Bill.

Here in France we do quite a lot of recycling of rubbish. I've hardly been out of Europe. I think we are lucky to live here.

Edd, why don't you start a new thread on all that, then people will see it and know it's there? Bit heavy for this light hearted chat thread.

The chestnuts have gone orange and are losing their leaves, but the oaks are still fairly green. The liquidambers on the way into town are flaming. But a cold wet spell is on it's way.

Wonderful colours Billimage. Quite cheered my morning upimage

Had a quick pop in the GC yesterday and invested in some indoor/prepared hyacinth bulbs.  Planted some this time last year and they came into flower just as we took the Christmas decs down - the time of year when things really need brightening upimage.  Went for white instead of blue this time - heard the scent is a bit less intense. Will get them in the pot this evening.....to get me in the mood for planting up my tulip pots at the weekend - after all, its November now.

    Lovely autumn pictures Billimage

Good to see you back Edd - full of enthusiasmimage

Tulips were the first thing on my mind when I woke up this morning and I decided to plant them all in pots this year. I've lost so many in the ground here before.

Hope all have a good dayimage

    Morning all.

Getting to work on time was MY first thought this morning Lesley! Besides more sleep!

Not looked outside yet but I bet mr blinkin frost has attacked those lavenders...im sure I must secretly want to replace them...it can't be that difficult to get them in the GH! image

    Morning all!

Edd - my wormery will be going into the shed tonight (brick built so doesn't fluctuate too much with heat changes and to our knowledge wont freeze). I'll be leaving the tap open so they don't get water logged. Would they benefit from my lightly going over the compost to aerate it?

Also (I'm so glad you're back!) Do you stop feeding your worms over winter? The bottom layer is ready to use it looks lovely but there were still a few worms in it so I have left it in situ.

  • Good morning all image

I love white hyacinths Chicky - I always used to have some in the house for the New Year and my birthday - but discovered that coincided with OH's wheezy chest - now we have them outside and he doesn't have a problem.  I have amaryllis inside instead.

    Welcome back Edd image

I must say this puzzles me

I lied MrsG.  My first thought was coffeeimage.  Just wiped some condensation off the window and see there has been a light frost here.  I should have moved my Agapanthus but it is in a fairly sheltered corner so fingers crossed.it will be OK.
