bekkie - the Scottish midge is our own secret weapon - it's specially designed to keep foreigners at bay...image

I remember being at the top of Ben Lawyers years ago and there was a huge cloud of giant black ones - it's  4,000 ft above  sea level. They don't give up easily!  image

I will visit one day, ive always wanted to but never quite managed it! Most midges dont bother with me, will have to see what the Scottish ones do! image

Im not easily bothered by insects, but i think a large black cloud of midges would do it! image

Love the froggie pic not sure I would like it so much if it was my foot sliding into the trainer.  Noticed Verdun's posting a while back re slugs, I thought it was just me that sneaked into the garden after dark to collect snails (we dont get many slugs) I collect loads regularly and always get a sense of 'getting my own back' as I put the sealed carrier bag into the rubbish bin, yes I know its cruel but its the only way I can deal with them.

Lol, OL, love the pic, and the thought of girlie screams image He does look quite comfy in there tho. But glad it wasn't my foot, you'd have heard me from here!

Glad i wasn't the only one who forgot about garden trip image but have fun everyone.

The sun is now shining, but toooo hot to do anything in the garden.

Hope all the garden visitors aren't getting any of the thunderstorms - I'd wave the wand but I don't want to attract lightning....image

Just steady 'summer' rain here - we could do with several days of that. Summer rain here is usually of a more horizontal type as there's normally wind with it, but it's very still and quiet.

I could be doing h****work but I can't be bothered and the golf's on so I'm half watching/listening to it. image
