Bosses have announced that non of our money saving suggestions will work and so that they will go ahead in making one of us redundant.

But they might not get round to telling us who for another two weeks (at full pay) as they are so very busy in day to day running to consider our future a priority.

Understandably my other web tab open is for the job website!!

get the bosses imagetoo take a pay cut .and cycle to workimage

Sounds like Clarington's bosses are heading for a whole heap of issues.  There are rules about making people redundant and I don't think their approach is following any of them.

MuddyFork - I agree, I think they need to read up on their Employment Law!

OH and I had to pop up to the Farm Shop just now, and I needed some bird food so we popped into the GC as well - somehow an Anthemis EC Buxton and a Gaillardia Arizona Red Shades just threw themselves into my basket and screamed, 'Take me!  Take me!'

LOL Dove, that is exactly why I've been avoiding the GC recently, so many plants wanting a caring home........it would be a shame to leave them image

I've just realised when looking at another thread that Bill hasn't been about for a bit, I've checked and he hasn't posted since 30/5, I hope all is ok.  Bill, if you're looking in on us from over the pond let us know you and Mrs Bill are ok x

Yes, hopefully Bill and Mrs Bill are ok - weren't they moving house?

Well, I've just got rained off in the garden - I've been out tickling the front border with the Dutch hoe and planting the new plants as well as some purple sage plants I've been growing on to dot about in that new border.

As the gods were moving the furniture around I gave the bed a good sprinkling of FB&B pellets - now they're being well watered in image

While I was doing that OH dashed into the back garden and got the washing in off the line - now all I need to do is fold it neatly image

Dove I'll have to Google those plants image

Clari as has been said there are rules !! When I was made redundant they were adhered to even if no consideration to individuals welfare was given, I feel for you x

Had a visit at Mum's and now have a pair of trousers to shorten, sad thing is when we bought them a few months ago they weren't too long image the joys of getting old..NONE

Off into garden now, see you all later image

Just had a thought image Rules regarding redundancy apply if more that a certain number work for a firm. Our branch didn't have that number but because we worked for a national set up they had to be applied. Clari might work for a small firm. image

Absolutely tipping it down now - plants are getting well watered in! image
