Glad you're getting out doc. There's still been a few Red Admirals around here recently when it's been sunny
Clearing up here now so I think I may do a little more digging for the bit where the new lawn/grass will go. Hedging my bets there in case it's a bit rubbish. It depends how much my aching limbs can cope with I think.
Will clear the rest of the toms and bring them indoors, only a few left anyway. Plenty of jobs still to do - one of the fence 'window boxes' to line and plant up, and other plants to move or put in the raised beds.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Ff - OH says 'Of course', but it'll be a while - he's doing a very good job here. Both compost bins have been emptied, thoroughly turned and refilled.
It's woollies off here too
I've taken down the runner beans and the haulms have been stashed in a sheltered corner to provide potential hibernation opportunities for Hefty and pals.
The rampaging squash has been photographed and deconstructed and the squash is indoors - it's nearly as big as a foot ball and looks like a Crown Prince - and the last 10 cucumbers have been picked and the vines are ready for the compost heap. I've started picking the last of the Polka raspberries and cutting them back to about knee height. I know it's early, and I'll cut them down properly in February - but they need taking in hand and sorting out - they're rampaging too!
Several masses of large slug eggs have been uncovered under the tarpaulin - we've come in for lunch and the resident robin is having his lunch out there

Sorry Fg, but it is lovely here, jumper off and weeding has begun.
There are some late butterflies around which is lovely. I am starting to feel the tension flow out of me; at least I hope that is what it is !

No gardening for him, he's going off to do a job in a local churchyard.
Sister worried about mums memory, but she was the same when dad was in his last few months, she has some health concerns so hoping its just stress.
