That gave me a real jolt to read on here that Tony Benn has died. First thought was but why? He's too young! He was 88, shows how time flies. Such a character, made the News more interesting, but a bit too left wing for me too.

Sowed some more seeds this morning, flowers. Then went for a riding lesson with my horse at a friend's house. I haven't ridden much for the last 2 years, felt I needed a refresher.

I've potted up some more aquilegia seedlings. Nursery area is getting a bit full, so the wild flower bit has been weeded of the wild flowers I don't want (docks ,nettles and dandelions), and some grasses, chicory,wild marjoram, catananche and alliums put in. Now I just need to scatter some poppy seeds and its sorted for a bit. That should make some space for the aquilegias in the nursery area.
Car needed a new spring and a new tyre (sufficient tread but a cut in inside wall). I blame the state of the roads. I'm just waiting now for the garage to ring and say they can't get the tyre today......
Its gone very grey and overcast (Sheffield). If it were January I'd be worrying about snow but its far too warm so looks like it'll just be damp feet instead.

Weather lovely here, I can only see the sun through the office window! Apparently it is a little chilly. Weekend weather looks lovely.
