I imagine you are Verdun image

Mine's 9.5" from soil level to top, nice and sturdy with lots of side shoots, but no flower buds yet.  It's cooler here than in Cornwall.  She's had to contend with a few bits being chomped out of her by one of those slugs that we don't have in this garden image, so to keep her safe from them she now sits in pride of place in the centre of the table on the terrace image

Good morning all.  Lovely morning here - just back from walk and my feet are boiling hot.  Still have to wear wellies because of dew on the long grass in the mornings. btw the long grass is outside the gardenimage

Hope the workers have as good a day as possible.

Sorry to hear you've not been well Chrissie.

Good luck with the move Verdun.

Just another flying visit Im afraid.

Have not had time to catch up on all of your goings on, so I hope everyone is wel, and that your gardens are looking wonderful, remember this is the time of tear to relax, and enjoy all your hard work.

Have now caught up on sleep and finally removed all the mud.

Off to sort out Mum, I am doing this week, as we are off to the Highlands next week.

    See you soon.

Verdun, not really worth my while racing with Cornwall anyway - I know Norfolk's limitations image  You're probably a month ahead of us!

By the way, I've been meaning to tell you - I'm growing Runner bean Emergo this year - I had to buy in plants as I had almost nil germination from half a packet of seeds of Wisley Magic left over from last year.

I saw the Emergo in the GC and remembered that you recommended them, so we have high expectations!!!   Still only half way up the poles as of course, there was delay ..............

Hello everyone. We've been on holiday in the West Country and Shropshire. Not really time to keep reading this thread, although I did a few posts on some of the gardening ones.

We had a lovely time, saw "As You Like It" in the grounds of Ludlow Castle, went to David Austin's beautiful rose garden (posted photos somewhere), saw several other gardens (hope to post some photos when I get time), ate a lot (gained 3 pounds image), saw some friends and relations.

Haven't caught up on this thread, but I expect it will take too long! Hope everyone is well.

Garden is full of huge weeds. How did they grow so fast? The birds ate my blueberries the day before the housesitter was going to pick them. I was growing them especially to help my failing memory! Bother. Off to do gardening.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning all. Another bright and sunny day wasted in the office. I'll find out on Friday if I'm to be made redundant or not. I just hope that gives the job I want enough time to see if they can afford me.

Truth be told I can't wait to get off this sinking ship! The atmosphere in here is awful.
