Oooh all those posts weren't there when I did mine about Tony Benn. How strange. image

I wonder how many of today's politicians will be remembered in future - they all just seem interchangeable. No characters. Love 'em or hate 'em - many of his generation on all sides were at least interesting! image

Waiting for washing although it won't be going outside. More tea vicar?

Exactly FG, all 3 I mentioned were/are great characters for different reasons and did so much to shape politics, good or bad and whether you liked them or not.  Now they just seem to jump on the America bandwagon and I doubt David Cameron et al would be remembered  in quite the same way as either Tony Benn or Margaret Thatcher.

  • The only mr Ben I know used to change in a fancy dress shop and have adventures. Meaning no disrespect I have heard of him and am aware if his political career rip

Chilly here brrrrrr!!!   The sun's peeked through the fog but it's too late to warm us up - rhubarb crumbles being made now, then I'll make crab soufflé and salad for supper.
