I am very sad at the news that the BBC has axed Toby and Alys. I believe that did a very good job at presenting Gardeners World, it was not their fault about some of the ideas to jazz the show up, which were not needed.
I hope to see them both again, Alys's programme last year was fantastic.
I hope we see Toby and Alys again soon - on a programme of their own. It is such a backward move to give in to whatever dimwits wanted Monty back. I told the newsagent today that he could stop delivering the magazine and he said that several people had done so and for the same reason. So some gardeners of sense and taste who do not want to be sent back to the dark ages.
I can't believe Toby and Alys have gone, they were such a good team. Toby was a warm, bubbly perfect presenter. I wish him lots of success in whatever he does now.
I have nothing against Monty but he really is not good for Gardeners' World, I'm afraid I shall be switching off again and hoping Toby gets his own programme!
the last series of Gardeners World was spoiled because of all the running around to other parts of the country to other gardens which we did,nt need,Toby and Alyss were out of breath because they were rushing to cover everything like all these outside venues, also as a viewer i would like to see what will happen to Greenacres, Toby and Alyss approach to gardening was excellent they will be missed.
Very upset that I will not get to see Greenacres grow . I will miss Toby and Alys as they are both such enthusiastic, bright young people. If I wanted to watch old people garden I would go to the local care home where I am sure most of the residents are better at it than Monty. We need young gardeners to inspire all of us. We do not need to back to Monty and I will join those who will not be watching when it returns as I have better things to do than be bored by him.
Great news Monty is coming back, have hardly watched since he left. I don't know Alys or Toby but wish they'd got rid of the ghastly Joe and Carol instead.
I am so pleased Monty will be returning to our screens every Friday night. I used to be a real fan of Gardener's World but lost interest once Tony and Alys had taken over. Somehow they just didn't inspire me the way Monty did. The programme became abit lack lustre. Fantastic! Bring on Spring!
