I tried 5 times to jump through the gardeners corner authentication hoops. I give up!
For me the only tricky bit was clicking on pictures of motorbikes and taxis to prove that I'm not a robot. I think there were 3 or 4 of them. Maybe I actually am a robot

Sad news but nothing lasts for ever, thanks to Gardeners World for keeping the forum open for so long and to all of the nice people who have given me and others advice, encouragement and information.
@JennyJ. I managed that but I haven't enough privileges whatever they are to do anything but look. You have to go through a two step authentication code but one of the steps involves installing a Google authentication app or something like that and there's QR codes involved. I don't use my phone for internet activities so I can't use that. There's a long number you can insert but it doesn't like that either. I can't be axxxd to try anymore.
So what am I to do whilst I can't get out to do the gardening? I'm not one for social media, as such, and only joined here to ask a specific gardening question. Now, having moved home, I rely on the knowledge of other gardeners here. Plus I can drop in at any time of day - and night. I find so many others here, at all hours.
@B3 They sent me an email to the address that I signed up with, with an authentication link to click on, to authenticate the new account. No phone app, QR code or anything like that.
I have started a thread in the new members area, "Hi new member from Doncaster here". It seems to have worked as far as I can tell.

Please reconsider @CrankyYankee - I always enjoy reading your input.
I always knew there was summat odd about you @JennyJ ...
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I'm forever using the search function for advice, can't believe all the historic information will be gone too.
Hope everyone can reconvene somewhere else. If there's a concensus of where everyone is going that would be fab 👌
