I tried 5 times to jump through the gardeners corner authentication hoops. I give up!

For me the only tricky bit was clicking on pictures of motorbikes and taxis to prove that I'm not a robot. I think there were 3 or 4 of them. Maybe I actually am a robot :D

Sad news but nothing lasts for ever, thanks to Gardeners World for keeping the forum open for so long and to all of the nice people who have given me and others advice, encouragement and information.

I think you have to contact the moderators to change your name @clematisdorset, so I'll try that at some point.  :)

Please reconsider @CrankyYankee - I always enjoy reading your input.
I always knew there was summat odd about you @JennyJ ... ;)

@JennyJ. I managed that but I haven't enough privileges whatever they are to do anything but look. You have to go through a two step authentication code but one of the steps involves installing a Google authentication app or something like that and there's QR codes involved. I don't use my phone for internet activities so I can't use that. There's a long number you can insert but it doesn't like that either.
I can't be axxxd to try anymore.

Just to say I managed to join GC and approval took less than 30 minutes. Hope that helps!
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus

@B3 They sent me an email to the address that I signed up with, with an authentication link to click on, to authenticate the new account. No phone app, QR code or anything like that.
I have started a thread in the new members area, "Hi new member from Doncaster here". It seems to have worked as far as I can tell.
